Kingfish (Scomberomorus Cavalia) also commonly referred to as the King Mackerel is one of the most commonly caught fish both recreationally and commercially along the Atlantic Coast of the Americas. One can catch Kingfish along the Carolina coast all the way to Rio de Janeiro. Kingfish is commonly sold fresh or frozen whole and makes great steaks due to its firmness on the grill.
